Boo at the Zoo
As a research assistant part of the Integrative Biology department, I volunteered at a special Halloween event at the Potter Park Zoo, Boo at the Zoo. I supervised families while they were enjoying the inflatable stations to prevent any potential injuries when having too much fun.
American Ornithology Society Conference Volunteer
I volunteered for the American Ornithology Society Conference as tech support. I prepared technological equipment for moderators and speakers during oral presentation sessions as well as rotated appropriate signage of each conference room.
Students Together Are Reaching Success (STARS) Mentor
As an upper-classman, I started mentoring incoming freshman through their transition to college to make information more accessible to first-generation and people of color students, just like my mentor did when I was an underclassmen mentee in the program.
